Successful season for Special Olympics Swindon

On Sunday 30th April the Wiltshire Ability Counts Football League came to a conclusion after a fantastic season of competitive, inclusive football.  With tournaments taking place over six Sundays throughout the year at three different venues the league offers the opportunity to those with a disability the opportunity to play football in a safe and positive environment.

Playing in their second season but first competitively, Special Olympics Swindon finished the season in 4th place. The team managed to win 12 matches throughout the season which is testament to all of the hard work they have put in during their Monday afternoon training sessions.

A big congratulations must go to Swindon Town Football in the Community who were impressive throughout and won the league having lost just one game all season.

If you would like to become part of our amazing team or know somebody that would like to play football on a regular basis then Special Olympics can provide that opportunity for you.
